The peace of Christ rules my heart, An inner serenity that the storms of life can never part. In times of trouble or darkest nights, Christ’s abiding peace pervades like heavenly light. When afflictions come, and fears abound, The peace of Christ keeps me on solid ground. It's the peace of Christ that frees my heart from all distress, And brings my soul enduring rest. The peace of Christ is a gift of love from His heart of grace, My temporal sufferings subside as I’m held together by His embrace. I'll let the peace of Christ rule my heart, For it's the secret source of tranquility in a world that's falling apart.
