BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS by Hector Perez

Upon my chest, Christ's breastplate will gleam,
An armor for righteousness, the warrior's confident theme,
Forged in love and goodness that sparkles with purity of light,
Conquering evil forces by advancing what is right.

The breastplate of righteousness shining with God's grace,
Reflecting virtues of hope to those who are abased,
Rejecting corruption, and hating wicked schemes,
We stand unyielding, ambassadors of God's righteous beams.

I will stand firm to don this breastplate strong,
In righteousness, is where Jesus helps me belong,
To face the evil forces of darkness, without any fear,
Full of Christ's righteous virtues glimmering crystal clear.

Stand firm then, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. Ephesians 6:14b

From a baby until now, you are my precious shining star, Who delights my heart from afar. Your smile, so bright fills my heart aglow, For I've seen how you prevailed through the many highs and frequent lows. You've suffered as a youth with so much pain, But always remember my precious princess that your suffering is not in vain. Just as the sun rises day after day, Embrace the truth that God is present at your side to give you a steadfast heart that is not frayed. God will strengthen your faith so keep running the race ahead, Embracing the eternal hope He gives you with wings outspread.
