A HEART OF GRATITUDE by Hector Perez

THE CELEBRATION OF THANKSGIVING COMES AND GOES,
WATCHING FOOTBALL AND EATING TURKEY WHICH CAUSES ME TO DOZE.

BUT THIS YEAR, I WILL CHOOSE TO EMBRACE A DIFFERENT ART,
SINGING PRAISES TO GOD FOR HIS NUMBERLESS BLESSINGS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART.

I WON’T FALL PREY TO THIS WORLD’S VORTEX OF DISSATISFACTION,

THAT PROMOTES CEASELESS DISCONTENT AND EXTERNAL ATTRACTION.

NO MATTER IF I HAVE LITTLE OR SUFFER LOSS THROUGH CALAMITY,
I WILL THANK THE LORD FOR THE TREASURE OF FAMILY.

I'LL SEE EVERY SETBACK I FACE AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW,
IN LOVE, MERCY, AND FAITH, SO GRATITUDE FOREVER FLOWS.

I'LL THANK FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO LEND ME A HELPING HAND,
FOR THEIR LOVE AND COMPASSION THAT HAVE HELP ME STAND.

STARTING TODAY, I’LL ADOPT A HEART OF GRATITUDE,
FOR IT'S THE SECRET FORMULA TO MY  LIFE’S ALTITUDE.


IN GRATITUDE'S EMBRACE, MY SOUL WILL REJOICE AND FIND THE WAY,  

WITH A GRATEFUL HEART LIKE JESUS,      I'LL SOAR AND SEIZE THE DAY!

CHRIST'S INSEPARABLE LOVE

Have you ever felt unloved by God or others because of your imperfections or mistakes? What if I were to tell you that there is a love where the worst of you can come out, and you would be loved more, not less?  Please take 2 minutes to read this poem I wrote about “Christ’s Inseparable Love.” Christ's inseparable love upon the cross was perfectly expressed, For imperfect people like me, who felt unloved in a pit of dire distress.
